Goodloe Edgar Byron Jr., also known as Geb, serves as Managing Partner of Potomac Energy Fund, L.P. Mr. Byron serves as the Chief Executive Officer and President at Potomac Asset Management Co. Inc. He serves as Managing Director at Potomac and the Founder and President at Potomac Investment Services, L.P. Mr. Byron also serves as President of Potomac Capital Markets. Mr. Byron has more than 25 years of investment industry experience, including 15 years in principal investing. Mr. Byron served as Vice President at Alex, Brown and Sons from 1989 to 1995, where he worked in the investment management area with institutional clients. Prior to joining Alex, Brown and Sons, he served as Vice President at Shearson, Lehman Brothers where he worked with pension funds and institutional investors. Mr. Byron serves as the Chairman of the Maryland Venture Capital Trust after serving as a founding member of the Board of Trustees of the Maryland Higher Education Investment Fund. From 1990 to 1997, Mr. Byron served as the Chairman of the Maryland Deposit Insurance Fund. Mr. Byron founded a residential energy efficiency retrofit program. He serves as Director of SEV Group Limited. He holds a B.A. in Government from the University of Virginia.
