Koichi "Kris" Fukuda is a global business executive with over 40 years of experience as CEO/President/Board member in executive search, life science, software, technology, and clean energy. These roles include: President of Boston Scientific in Asia, where he helped take the firm to IPO (NYSE, $4.5 Billion); Managing Director for a $100 million venture capital fund; Executive Director for Russell Reynolds Associates, a global leader in executive search; board member and Managing Partner of Heidrick & Struggles, a global leader in executive search, where he helped take the firm to IPO (NASDAQ, $1 Billion); President of UK-stock listed Bond International in Japan (a recruiting software); President of Sydney-stock listed Talent2 in Japan (outsourced financial and HR functions); Founder of the first Japanese cart-based coffee shop chain operation, operated by the mentally challenged, which he donated to his employees; Council member for Duke University’s Fuqua Business School, ranked #1 in the U.S., where he helped develop its Global MBA program; and President of the Duke University Alumni Association of Japan. He has led executive searches for Presidents and CEOs at Goldman Sachs, Apple, Deutsche Bank, Credit Suisse, and Gucci. He was personally recruited by the executive search industry's legend, Mr. Russell Reynolds, and trained under him in his New York office. Mr. Fukuda has been officially recognized as one of the best executive recruiters in the world in the book “The Global 200 Executive Recruiters” by Nancy Garrison-Jenn. He was also the only executive recruiter quoted by John Naisbitt in his global bestseller, "Mega trends - Asia." Mr. Fukuda is fluent in English and Japanese, with additional abilities in German and Spanish, and is also a FAA-licensed pilot. He earned his MBA at Duke University and Bachelor of Arts in Physics and International Relations from Beloit College.
